We all look for inspiration, right? Especially us bloggers, and all creatives I think, whether you write, photograph, create designs, whatever it is that you do, staying inspired & motivated is so important, if you want to keep on improving, right?
I personally have some days when I'm so inspired, I can write, create, seems like there's not enough hours in a day, because I just want to work on my ideas, unfortunately it's not like that everyday, some days I'm totally lacking motivation, inspiration, drive to do anything productive, of course, that's completely fine, those kind of days come and go, however what to do if you get stuck for a longer time? One day, two days passes, and nah inspiration is not coming, then I think, it's best to inspire yourself, how? There are so many ways, so let's talk about them now.

Watch motivational videos, most of the time they really help, of course not just any videos, you have to find videos, that really speaks to you. Sometimes I don't even watch those videos, I just like to listen to them, while doing something else, cooking, drawing, tidying up, or just laying in bed, put your headphones in and listen to some inspirational talks. Some videos, that I loved lately:

Ahh, books, they're such a great source of inspiration, and just changing and improving your views of life in general, but then again, you need to find something inspiring personally to you.
I would definitely recommend, reading books such as Big Magic, #GIRLBOSS, The Four Agreements or Eat Pray Love.

There are so many inspiring people out there! For example, bloggers, find some blogs, that you really like and read them, might find loads of inspiration. Find people who have already done what you want to do and learn from them, how they got to where they are. Watch people just walking past, while you're sitting in a cafe, or just waiting somewhere, might get inspired as well. People can be really inspirational, just find the right ones, and try to be an inspiration for others around you.

Because whenever you spend time in the nature, everything becomes clearer, you start feeling better, right? I think taking a walk in the nature is always a great idea, and if you have a chance spending at least a few days there is even better, that will definitely help with re-charging and getting re-inspired.

This is so important to keep your brain working, I think learning something new is like an exercise for the brain, it could be a new language, it could be reading some educational books, as they would teach you some new things, it could be a new sport, maybe learning how to drive, play with cards, anything really. Learning a new skill is always good, right?

One of the best ways to always keep motivated is to keep on working on yourself. Try meditating, even if you start with 5 minutes a day, it's still something, little by little you'll learn no to be controlled by your thoughts as much.
Eat healthier, that way you'll be more active and positive, because your body will be feeling great, rather than all lazy after eating some junk food, of course treating yourself to a cake, takeaway, whatever it is, it's all good, just not everyday. Oh, and keep hydrated.
Move a little, I'm not saying you need to be working out like crazy each day, but at least do some yoga, stretch, maybe go for a run, or at least a walk.
Get unplugged from the technology from time to time, of course, there's so much inspiration on the internet, but there's a lot of of negativity too, so take a break from it sometimes.
Do what makes you happy, always spend at least some time doing something, that you really love, always make time for that, whether it's spending time with your friends and family, traveling, trying new recipes, it could be anything, just enjoy it as often as you can, make time for it.

Write whatever is on your mind, whatever questions you have, somehow writing really helps with getting motivated and trying to understand things, and of course with reflecting on everything.

Last, but definitely not least, get enough sleep. Try going to bed earlier, that doesn't really work for me yet haha, but I'm working on it! I believe, that getting enough sleep and waking up early is like a key to success.

  1. This is such a great post! I definitely love watching motivational videos when I feel like I need a boost. I find that when I surround myself with amazing people, or go out of my way to learn new things that inspiration comes so much easier than when I don't.

  7. LOVE this post lady - can completely relate, as a blogger it's so common to feel uninspired. I always make sure I'm getting enough sleep, read some motivational books and sometimes I find just taking a step back really helps. Learning to be inspired by people and surroundings, it's so easy to get wrapped up in the digital world that we forget to look around us!
